Patch Notes: January 16, 2026
Let’s start 2026 with great news.
We’re launching Patch Notes, a regular update where we share what’s changed on Stripchat, from new features and improvements to smaller adjustments and fixes. It’s a common format in software products, designed to reduce confusion and help you make the most of new tools and changes as they appear.
Based on what we learned during the Project Pulse campaign last year, we know how important it is to keep everyone informed about what’s happening on the site. So we’ll be publishing these roughly every two months.
The first edition covers changes from September to December 2025.
Thank you to everyone who shares feedback with us. We actively engage with the community on Discord, where your ideas and suggestions go straight into our product planning. Join the conversation — together, we’re shaping how Stripchat evolves.
Discovery and Visibility Updates
These updates focused on helping models get discovered at the right moment and giving viewers clearer, more relevant paths back to the profiles they already enjoyed.
Extended “New model” promo period
We updated how the “New” status works. The promo period was extended from two weeks to one month, during which models receive the “New” tag and are included in a dedicated “New” section for extra visibility.
More relevant “Models you watched before”
The “watched before” section now makes it easier for viewers to rediscover models and come back when they are ready to engage.
Seasonal Fun
We also explored ways to create timely, themed experiences that add variety, fun, and new reasons for viewers to engage.
Halloween and XXXmas Spotlight category
We introduced a themed Halloween and Christmas category with festive reactions, extra animation options in private chat, and seasonal emojis. It was built to help models stand out with costumes and room vibes and pull in fans.
Contests and Paid Features
These changes aimed to make competitive and paid experiences easier to understand and fairer for everyone involved.
Contest winners split by category
We separated the contest into three categories — Girls and Couples, Guys, and Trans — so models are shown in the Last 24h Contest according to their gender during the broadcast. This made competition fairer and increased the chances for models from different categories to reach top positions and win prizes.
Modified Ticket and Group shows announcements
We improved the pre-join screens for already running shows. Non-paying viewers can better understand the value of Ticket and Group shows, while paying ones can better focus on the model and the show topics. This leads to fewer confused drop-offs and more confident joins to your paid activities.
New explanation for the free tokens hourly draw
We simplified the hourly draw wording so viewers understood what they were opting into, helping more of them complete the flow and arrive ready to interact.
Comfort, Privacy, and Usability
Finally, we made improvements that support everyday comfort — from privacy control to smoother navigation.
New site languages: Malay, Thai, Bengali
We added Malay, Thai, and Bengali to make the site clearer for more viewers and models. Now they can connect with each other in the language that felt easiest for them.
Pixelation across paid show types
Pixelation settings started working more consistently across paid show formats, with clearer user-facing messaging. Now models have stronger privacy control without disrupting the show experience.
Swipe-back in mobile messenger
We added a swipe-back gesture to private chats on mobile, allowing viewers to close a chat and return to the chat list by swiping to the right. This made navigation feel familiar and intuitive, matching the experience users expect from popular messenger apps.
Thank you for being with us in 2025 and for staying with us as we move into the new year. We have big plans ahead, and we're looking forward to continue making Stripchat better for you, and with you.
